Quitar Babylon de página de inicio en Firefox. (Solucionada) |

| Windows 7 (6.1)x64; Firefox 16.0.2 Hola! Recién instalé un software, que instalaba por defecto también la barra para navegadores de Babylon. Como de veras no me hacía falta esa barra, ya que fue algo adicional que se instaló con el software, pues me dispuse a desinstalarla, y de paso hacer una limpieza de registro. Todo normal después de esto, excepto que Babylon se queda como página de inicio en Firefox. He cambiado la página de inicio por la configuración del navegador, la he cambiado manualmente a través del apartado de configuración raíz del Firefox (about:config), he eliminado manualmente todas las entradas del registro y archivos en la PC que hubieran quedado relacionadas con Babylon luego de la desinstalación. Pero nada, no he podido lograr quitar a Babylon como página de inicio del navegador. ¿Qué puedo hacer? P.D.: He leído sobre reiniciar el perfil en Firefox, pero tengo miedo de perder marcadores y datos de cache de páginas que me son muy necesarios. Gracias de antemano!  |

En about:config, has buscado todo lo de babylon y lo has puesto en \ "false\ "? Cuando hablas del registro te refieres a que has eliminado la entrada desde el editor de regitro o solo has pasado un limpiador? HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ \ SOFTWARE\ \ Mozilla\ \ Firefox\ \ Extensions HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ \ Software\ \ Babylon Recuerda notificar si solucionaste tu problema y si tienes conocimientos en algún area puedes ayudar a otros cómo tú has sido ayudado! | Aparte de lo que te recomienda enrique1970 descarga y pasa el Superantispyware, una ves que lo instales lo actualizas y te vas a preferencias, ahi desmarcas donde dice \ "inciar superantispyeware cuando se inicie windows\ ", inicia tu equipo en modo seguro y en la barra de inicio de buscar escribe %temp% y borras lo que te salga en la carpeta que se abre, si hay algo que te dice que no se puede eliminar por el momento dejalo asi, elimina lo que se puede, pasa el programa descrito y quitas lo que aparezca, ah! por si acaso descarga el revo unisntaller y lo corres y te fijas si hay \ "tool bars\ " en tu computadora y las desinstalas, avisanos. Ya pasaste el reg seeker? | ||

En about:config, he colocado en false y puesto valores null a todas las entradas relacionadas con Babylon, pero estas restablecen sus valores originales una vez que reinicio el navegador. Pues si, he eliminado manual desde el editor del registro las claves relacionadas con Babylon, y luego paso un limpiador del registro. Pero me llama la atención varias claves (dentro del apartado de Internet Explorer), que apenas las borro se vuelven a restablecer automáticamente. También encuentro otras varias claves (< a href=\ "http://fotos.subefotos.com/e1a03522b320f42295783a7d0c0d193bo.png\ " target=\ "_blank\ ">ver imagen) pero desconozco esa zona en que se encuentran, así que me da temor eliminarlas. @zur75 Pues el Revo Unistaller no muestra ninguna tool bar, ni nada relacionado con Babylon. Ok, voy a correr el Superantispyware y te comento. Saludos! | ||

| Bueno, corrí el Superantispyware y detectó y eliminó 126 ficheros y una clave del registro con problemas.
El AT-Destroyer detectó y eliminó unas cuantas cosas relacionadas con Babylon, y después arregló la configuración del homepage en Firefox: user_pref(\ "browser.startup.homepage\ ", \ "http://google.com\ "); user_pref(\ "browser.startup.homepage\ ", \ "http://google.com\ "); Luego de todo esto, pues nada, todavía me sigue saliendo Babylon como página de inicio en Firefox. | Babylon es una porqueria que se instala por defecto a traición, instalando programas legales, y con trampa, porque recomiendan que tal programa se use la configuración para no expertos (dicen ellos) para que no se puede desmarcar, cosa que sí se puede hacer escogiendo la opción \ "para expertos\ ", es una vergüenza, y además, cuesta mucho de quitar, y lo que sirve a ti no sirve al otro, se trata de ir probando, y puede que tengas que resetear el firefox para quitarlo.
de momento, desinstala el messenger plus y el browsemngr.exe desde agregar o quitar programas (o como se llame en w7). cierra todos los programas, navegador incluido, ejecuta hijackthis pulsando do a system scan only y marcas las siguientes entradas: C:\ \ ProgramData\ \ Browser Manager\ \ 2.3.796.11\ \ {16cdff19-861d-48e3-a751-d99a27784753}\ \ browsemngr.exe pulsa fix checked, sin reiniciar busca y borra lo siguiente (habilita la opción de ver archivos y carpetas ocultos). si alguno no se deja usa killbox o unlocker, o ambos ProgramData\ \ Browser Manager\ \ 2.3.796.11\ \ {16cdff19-861d-48e3-a751-d99a27784753}\ \ browsemngr.exe pasa ccleaner, para limpiar los temporales y cokies y registro, y jv16 PowerTools 2008 haz una copia de lo importante, de los marcadores incluidos (guardar marcadores firefox) reinicias y nos dices que tal va, pegas un nuevo log. saludos | ||

Es que precisamente el programa del cual instalé Babylon, un gestor de descarga, obligaba necesariamente a dejar marcada la opción de instalar Babylon (y todo lo relacionado) para que pudiera ejecutar la descarga, así que no me dejaba opción. Lo que nunca pensé es que me fuera a dar tantos problemas. Ok, haré lo que dices y te comento. Por cierto, que browsemngr.exe no aparece listado en la relación de programas instalados. Saludos! | ||

| Gatodet no te compliques mas con esa situacion, lo mejor aqui es es hagas un respaldo de los marcadores, etc que tengas de firefox, luego lo desinstalas limpias el registro con reg seeker y lo reinstalas, listo. | ||

| Bueno, ya solucioné el problema.
Inicié en modo seguro, pasé de nuevo el AT-Destroyer y luego el HJT, marcando la entrada esa de ProgramData\ \ \ \ Browser Manager\ \ \ \ 2.3.796.11\ \ \ \ {16cdff19-861d-48e3-a751-d99a27784753}\ \ \ \ browsemngr.exe, y después eliminando manual los archivos. Después de todo esto, pasé el CCleanner y el Jv16 PowerTools. Al reiniciar, ya se había solucionado el problema. Gracias a todos por el soporte! Saludos. | ||
